Based on thorough interviews and a quantitative measure of team performance, a one- or two-day agenda for the first team offsite is designed with the team leader
Offsites include a series of thought-provoking presentations and exercises that allow team members to work together in a more cohesive and productive way on actual business challenges
Content for the offsites is tailored to the team’s needs but revolves around skills such as creating a team charter, communicating effectively, efficient decision making, running crisp meetings, dealing with conflict, and encouraging mutual accountability
Offsites end with concrete steps that each team member commits to applying during and between team meetings
In-person and phone coaching with the leader and other team members helps sustain momentum and deal with challenges that arise
Additional follow-up off-sites are scheduled to further consolidate progress and to teach the next level of skills necessary to elevate the team’s effectiveness
